Sirenes op 6 april en NL-Alert controlebericht op 8 juni
Iedere eerste maandag van de maand om 12.00 uur worden alle 4278 sirenes in Nederland getest. Ook tijdens deze coronacrisis zullen de sirenes loeien op maandag 6 april.
Daarnaast wordt op maandag 8 juni rond 12 uur het NL-Alert controlebericht uitgezonden.
Sirenes loeien niet op nationale herdenkings- of feestdagen
In mei en juni zullen de sirenes niet loeien omdat in deze maanden de eerste maandag van de maand op respectievelijk Dodenherdenking en Tweede Pinksterdag valt.

At 12:00 noon on every first Monday of the month, all 4278 emergency sirens in the Netherlands are tested. The sirens will also sound during this coronavirus crisis, on Monday 6 April.
In addition, on Monday 8 June at around 12:00, the NL-Alert test message will be transmitted.
Sirens do not sound on national holidays or commemoration days
The sirens will not sound in May or June, because the first Monday in May is Remembrance Day and the first Monday in June is Whit Monday.
